This is an open secret that the BJP will play an important role in the formation of the next set of offices at the Indian Board. Consultations with various appropriate Central Government authorities led by BJP will soon begin on the selection of the new BCCI CAP.
According to the rules established by the BCCI, to answer the election, a candidate must be Nominated by a state unit and is based on the list of representatives of the State Association, which will be supposed to attend the next annual general meeting of the Council, which will be expected to be held on September 28.
The party, which has a great opinion in the teams, had supported the former Captain of India Sourav Ganguly in 2019 and then chose Roger Binny in 2022. This began the tendency to appoint former Cricters in the role of President of BCCI.
According to the recent BCCI trend, the former Indian players have been chosen to play the role of the President of BCCI. Among the current list of nominations are three international ones: Sourav Gangul (West Bengal), Harbhajan Singh (Punjab) and Raghuram Bhatt (Karnataka).
The trend is evident through various sports in India, as other vital bodies are run by old stars, such as Olympic Association (PT USHA), Hockey India (Dilip Tirkey) and the Federation of All India Football (Kalyan Chaubey).
Although the list also includes some other names in the form of domestic cricket stalls such as Jaydev Shah of Saurashtra and Mithun Minhas of Jammu and Kashmir, speculations from now on the designation of international ones.
Another name of large -scale importance among the candidates is Rajeev Shukla, the current Vice President of the BCCI. He has a candidacy for the Uttar Pradesh State Association and is among the main competitors of the paper. It is worth noting that he has been part of the BCCI since Jagmohan Dalmiya days.
Rajeev Shukla, in order to be back in the role of the President of BCCI, has left the vice president vacant. This is one of the most essential roles they bring to the office next to the President of the IPL Committee.
The BCCI has already erased its position on Devajit Saikia and Prabhtej Bhatia, the current Secretary and Treasurer of the Indian Board, saying that they will continue in their roles. However, some doubts have been raised about Rohan Desdii, the joint secretary, due to the recent issues of his state of origin, Goa.
