Lisa Brown Langle, marked by photographer Martha Martha today, known as La Brown, said she would never forget the day in London with her dad Phil Brown in 1992 – and how one comment had grown in her heart for years.
On that day, her 30th birthday soon approached in London.
Her father He addressed her, smiled and said, “The time I bought you what I gave every woman in our family.” He added, to her surprise, “Hermes scarf”.

It was an expensive gift – one considered a treasure For the person who wore him.
But unlike other recipients of the family-ye mother, grandmother, aunt and sisters, she found that one of these classic silk accessories would not be reserved with her free personality.

She said to her father, “Dad, I’m so grateful. But you know me – I’m an artist. I just won’t wear a dear Hermes scarf.”
At the very moment she said these words, she wanted to return them back, experiencing that she would hurt her father’s feelings.
Four years later her father suffered from leukemia And he died.
Her heart ached from passing when the tears unlocked the guilt she kept in a private place for so long.
She could either stay twisted in sadness – or she could decide to collect her life together.
She could not shake deep regret that what was so important for her dear dad – his way to say, “You are cherished” – was allowed to refuse it.
For a few weeks, attracting her grief, she came to the conclusion that she had two options.

Today, La Brown is a famous and achieved photo artist.
Twenty years have passed. Brown approached 50 when she and her husband Brendan walked past the London shops.
If they wandered past showcase hermèsShe realized her. Was it the same store – the one she visited with her father that day? She couldn’t say.

She never shared with her husband the story of her dad and how she was upset for years, refusing her offer to buy her one of these scarves.
And how she wanted her to tell her father how much this gift really implies for her.
“It wasn’t me then … but that’s or I’m now, ”she said.

The husband looked at her. “Want one of these scarves for your birthday?”
She saw it immediately as the moment when she needed to choose her words wisely, so as not to hurt her husband’s feelings the way she would damage her dad.
She replied, “No – I understand that buying this scarf is important for my father.
Two days later, returning to The house of their vineyard MarthaBrown saw that her aunt had arrived.

It had a manuscript note: “Do not open up to birthday.”
She couldn’t wait.
She sat down, ripped off the wrapper, slipped her hand into the box – and touched something silky.
Closing her eyes, she sighed.

It was a Hermes scarf.
In her eyes, when she read a note from her aunt NAS: “Dear Lisa, this scarf was your grandmother’s grandmother. Now when she’s gone … I thought you would like it.”
The circle was completed.

In moments, she played the scarf around her shoulders and turned to her husband with a shine in her eyes.
