Son of Princess Crown Norway accused of rape and abuse

The eldest son of Princess Crown Norway was charged with 32 offenses, including four rape points, the prosecutor says.

The allegations against Marius Borga Hyoiba, 28, include abuse of a former partner and violation of restrained orders against another former partner.

He was born from a relationship before the Princess of the Crown of Mette-Marita married Prince Haocon, who is the future King of Norway.

Mr. Høiby denies the most serious accusations against him, but plans to admit himself to some of the smaller charges when the trial begins, his lawyer Petar Sekulic said.

He could face up to 10 years in prison if he was found guilty of the most serious charges.

He is also charged with shooting a number of women without their knowledge and consent, Prosecutor Stewl Anikbio told reporters.

“He does not agree with the claims relatively rape and violence in the family,” Mr. School said of his client, Reuters reports.

Four alleged rapes were said to have occurred from 2018 to 2024, and one of them was passed after arrest, Norwegian public television presenter NRK reports.

D -Høiby, who has no royal title or official duties, was arrested three times last year, in August, September and November. He was under investigation after his arrest in August on suspicion of attack. In June, police said he was suspected of three rapes and 23 other crimes.

The prosecutor said the trial could take place in January and lasts about six weeks.
