Six things that can go up for Americans under tariffs on Trump

US President Donald Trump has introduced a number of tariffs – or import taxes – billions of goods coming to the United States from some of its best trading partners.

Tariffs extend to steel and aluminum imported in the US, as well as some other products from Mexico, Canada and China – causing counterattack from the last two countries and the European Union.

Economists have warned tariffs in the US – and those that are introduced in response to other countries – can put prices for US consumers.

All because the tax is paid by a domestic company that imports the product that can transfer the costs to customers or to reduce imports, which means that fewer products are available.

So, which things can become more expensive?

Some cars are among the products that give Trump a temporary referral from a new 25% import tax, introduced into Canada and Mexico.

When it is over, cars are expected to increase in price – approximately $ 3,000 (2300 pounds) according to TD Economics.

All because the details cross the US, Canadian and Mexican borders several times before collecting a vehicle.

“Many refineries need more crude oil to maximize the flexibility of gasoline, diesel and reactive fuel,” US fuel and petrochemical producers report.

This means that when Canada decided to reduce crude oil exports to the US revenge, it may push fuel prices.
