Paul Pogba has signed a two -year agreement with Monaco, marking his return to top football after serving a suspension of doping.
The 32-year-old midfielder, before Manchester United and Juventus, had been temporarily banned after a routine drug test after Juventus’s A series A open against Udinese in the 2023-24 season.
This suspension was originally established at the age of four, but after an appeal, it was reduced to 18 months in October.
After the ruling, Pogba and Juventus agreed to form this form in November by mutual consent. As a free agent, he became eligible to resume his career from March of this year.
This new chapter of Monaco represents the first time Pogba will present in League 1, despite having spent much of his youth career in France.
The Sport Arbitration Court (case) clarified in its final ruling that the prohibited substance in question was dehydroepiandrosterone (DHEA), which is known to increase testosterone levels and is prohibited by the World Anti -Delivery Agency (WADA).

He stated: “Dhea has only one effect on women.” According to the ruling, the substance had been ingested.
Pogba’s professional trip started at Manchester United before moving to Juventus, where he played a key role in his domestic rule. His first four seasons in Turin won him four consecutive titles in Series A, including two domestic doubles.
In 2016, he returned to Manchester United for what was a world record transfer fee of £ 89 million. His first season at Old Trafford ceded both the Trophies of the Europa League and the FA CUP.
Internationally, Pogba has been headed 91 times by France and was a prominent performer in the 2018 World Cup. He scored in the final when France defeated Croatia to raise the trophy in Russia.
However, the last years of his second style at Manchester United were affected by injuries and inconsistency. A return of free transfer to Juventus could not reign his shape, and his time in Turin ended prematurely.
