Shubman Gill’s test record was questioned before the Capitania appointment

Cricter curator Aakash Chopra struck Shubman Gill’s ability to become the new Indian red ball pattern, as his records are poor outside of Asia. Chopra acknowledged Gill’s skills on the ground, but has not yet been shown in red ball format outside Asia.

Chopra shared a video on his YouTube channel and said that Jasprit Bumrah’s unavailability to play all test matches in England is the main reason for choosing Gill as the new Captain of the Indian test.

After two Indian veterans, Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli, they announced their retirement from the test cricket, it will be a huge task for Gill to direct the Indian side well. India will tour England for a series of five -game tests in June 2025.

Shubman Gill Testing Record Out of Asia

Shubman Gill has not performed on the test cricket outside of Asia, as it only has an average of 25.4 in 24 tickets outside Asia. The young whisker has not marked a single century outside of Asia, but has played some important entries, such as 91 runs against Australia in Gabba.

Gill has everything to show the next series of tests against England. On the last tour of England, Gill had a single opportunity in the series and scored only 17 and 4 runs in two entries.

Aakash Chopra emphasized the same numbers as Shubman Gill in the format of red ball outside Asia. Gill showed his talent in the format of white ball, but continues to inter -form the format of red ball.

“It has been heard that Jasprit Bumrah said he cannot play the five tests. If this is true, you cannot turn it into the captain. You have to go in a different direction. Pant is also the highest scorer in India in the last five years and also a key batter in the abroad. He has scored 2948 runs in 43 tests and could be available for the Indian pattern race.

Series of Five Tests of India vs England

India will tour England for a series of five tests by 2025. The tour will begin on June 20 in Leeds. Edgbaston, the Lord, Emirates Old Trafford and Kennington Oval will host the other four test games.
