The Indian test team has already entered a new daring age under the leadership of Young Guns Shubman Gill and Rishabh Pant, and former Captain of England, Michael Vaughan, said that the weight of his future is based on three young shoulders.
With Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma retired from the test cricket, Vaughan believes that Shubman Gill, Yasasvi Jaiswal and Rishabh Pant have to bring the Indian Cricket team now and his legacy. He also believes that India is no longer in the transition phase, but in a complete transformation.
Cricket Pundit also emphasized that Gill, Jaiswal and Pant must take care of the Indian test cricket just like Kohli shot during his golden phase, when he was almost carrying the team on his own in the three formats of the game.

PTI said that Michael Vaughan said, “They (Gill, Jaiswal and Pant) now have to drag this Indian test team as a spija did so unique. There is a group that I see that play the game in the right way.”
However, Vaughan has made it clear that early success does not guarantee long -term greatness, and for the young Indian army, the mission is not only to win a few parties or series, but also to build something iconic.
He mentioned that Kohli’s leadership was not just races, but also energy, hunger and dominance. Under Kohli’s captaincy, India became the number 1 test team and made records both at home and outside.
Thus, Vaughan believes that it now corresponds to Gill’s quiet control, to the fearful intent of Jaiswal and the explosive Flair of Pant to shape an Indian era that can equal or even overcome what Kohli built.
Vaughan said, “they have had a great opportunity to leave a legacy in a few years of doing what Kohli did to the Indian test team. If they can be anywhere as close as the one he contributed to the test match team, the energy and the state of a number for a long period of time, they will have to do a decent job.”
In the meantime, India could have a lot of young talent, but the former Captain of England believes that replacing the aura and the kohli shot will not be easy. However, Vaughan praised Gill’s strong start as captain and beating, but said that Kohli’s intensity and leadership would need time to replace it.
Vaughan further explained: “It cannot be continued suddenly after two legends have retired or moved from the team. Shubman has begun as captain and player. He is a wonderful player. As for battle, I don’t think the team will fight too much.”
The commentator believes that Gill has the potential to grow tactically, but filling Kohli’s shoes will never be an easy job. He signed by saying: “It is the competitive energy that Virat led to the test team. He only contributed this buzz and this intensity that you need. Tactically, it was also very good. This will be something that Shubman can improve over the years as captain.”
