Gill is only the sixth Indian player to get a score of 250 more in tests and recorded the highest score for India in tests in England, surpassing 221 by Sunil Gavaskar. In addition, the young right baptism became the second Indian pattern to achieve a double one hundred in a foreign test, after Kohli and the first Asian captain reached a double hundreds of Seine countries.
