Gujarat Titans (GT) director Vikram Solanki has provided a positive update on the physical form of the Shubman Patron Gill before IPL 2025 against Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH). Solanki revealed that Gill had been treating a spasm on his lower back, but the team is optimistic about his availability for the next game.
Shubman Gill scored 84 runs of 50 balls in the previous game of Gujarat Titans against the Rajasthan Royals (RR). However, he did not take the pitch during the second post due to a concern for physical form. Filador Rashid Khan had to lead the team during the game, where GT suffered a disappointing eight -bicket defeat.

Speaking at a pre -match press conference, Vikram Solanki said that Shubman Gill had experienced a minor spasm and the team was adopting a cautious approach. Solanki stated that Gill’s state would be valued during the training session.

“His physical form, there was a bit of spasm on his back. We are trying to be careful. Today it will be in the formation. We will only see where he is. We are reasonably sure that he will be fine,” said Solanki (through India today).
Shubman Gill has been in good shape for Gujarat Titans at IPL 2025. The right batter has scored 389 runs in nine games with an average of 48.62 and a strike rate of 156.22, including four half a century. With a strong record in Ahmedabad, Shubman Gill is vital for the team in the crucial team.

Vikram Solanki acknowledged that Sunrisers Hyderabad had inconsistent performance in the IPL 2025, but they are still a dangerous side.
The GT director said that the team will not take them lightly and added that they have several players capable of turning the game on their own.
“We have to pay the respect that Srh deserves. They are a very strong team. We will be aware of the threat they have. They have matches winners among their team,” said Solanki (through a mentioned source).
Sunrisers Hyderabad has struggled with consistency at IPL 2025, winning only three of his nine games. However, they managed to get a victory over Chennai Super Kings (CSK) in their recent game.

GT faced a defeat against Rajasthan Royals in his last game, after an impressive century by Vaibhav Suryavanshi, 14. However, Solanki said that the loss had not affected the team. He added that GT could have better executed his plans.

Gujarat Titans will face Sunrisers Hyderabad in their next game on Friday, May 2. GT got a seven -wicket victory when both teams last met in the season.
