The Punjab Kings (PBKs) directed by Shreyas Iyer (PBKs) went head with Chennai Super Kings (CSK), led by Ruturaj Gaikwad (CSK), at the 22nd Premier League Indian 2025 (IPL 2025) match on Tuesday, April 8.
Punjab Kings defeated Chennai Super Kings by 18 runs in a major game at Maharaja Yadavindra Singh International Cricket Stadium, Mullanpur.

“This was a tactical call, because Dube had already played some deliveries and conway. With Yuzi who comes in, we know how destructive it can be, but I felt that the instincts were to go with the cousins. We basically wanted a pace against Dube, we delayed a bit in this, but it finally worked.”
Shreyas Iyer said they have not yet played their best game and wants their companions more fearsome. Stated:

How did the PBK act in the previous IPL match against CSK?
Punjab Kings (PBKs) had a poor departure against Chennai Super Kings (CSK) in his previous confrontation IPL in Dharamsala and suffered a defeat by 28 runs
First winning the launch and bowling in the game, Punjab Kings bowls greatly concerned the CSK baptism unit and did not allow them to build great collaborations.
