Shreyas Iyer Ouster was canceled; India’s main selector is against Gautam Gambhir

India’s workforce for the next Asia Cup 2025 has caused a storm between the Fraternity of the Cricket, with Kris Srikkanth with the direct purpose of the main selector, Ajit Agarkar. The former Indian Captain has called Agarkar’s explanation behind the shocking Clara of Shreyas Iyer for the Asia Cup 2025.

Shreyas Iyer was out of the main workforce and even the list of five men’s reserves in the next continental tournament to the United Arab Emirates next month. It was overlooked despite his blister of the IPL 2025 season, where he accumulated more than 600 runs on an impressive 175 strike rate.

However, Agarkar defended the decision by pointing to the time slots limited in a staff of 15 members. The main selector had said at the press conference: “As for Shreyas, who can replace? There is no fault of his, nor is ours. At the moment, only 15 can be chosen.”

But Srikkanth was not satisfied with Agarkar’s justification. It made the explanation confused and illogical. The exclusion of the Indian whisk let Srikkanth bewildered, especially since the selectors chose an additional goalkeeper to DHRUV Joyl from the traveling reserves of the tournament.

Kris Srikkanth said to his YouTube channel: “Shreyas Iyer is an automatic choice. Let’s be very clear. You have to look at recent matches; it doesn’t make sense to judge a player for a year ago. He scored 600 runs on the IPL on a 175 strike rate.

Former Indian selector believes that Shreyas Iyer’s exclusion sends the wrong message to players who constantly deliver both the IPL and Domestic Cricket.

Srikkanth added, “For a player who has acted so well, you are saying,” Tell -to whom it will replace next to it. “I cannot understand this statement.

The 1983 World Cup winner emphasized that Iyer deserved a place in the Asia Cup squad 2025 ahead of Rinku Singh or Shivam Dube.

He said that IPRI’s IPL 2025 form was much more impressive than Rinku and Dube, who had the lower seasons of KKR and CSK, respectively.

Srikkanth was also bewildered by the omission of Jaiswal Yassewal from the Asian Cup squad in India. The young Indian Open has been excellent in formats and has accumulated 559 runs at the IPL 2025 at a strike rate about 160. However, the selectors left him out of the workforce.

He signed by saying, “Look, Yasasvi Jaiswal is acting in the international cricket; he is acting in the IPL. What did he do? How can he get out?”
