Punjab Kings (PBKs), directed by Shreyas Iyer (PBKs), hosted the Rajasthan Royals (RR) directed by Sanju Samson (RR) in the 18th Premier League Indian 2025 (IPL 2025) game on Saturday, April 5.
The Punjab Kings team lost the game against the Rajasthan Royals team for 50 runs to the Maharaja Yadavindra Singh International Cricket Stadium, Mullanpur.
Bowling first in the game, Punjab Kings was not up to the brand, as they allowed RR to record a huge score of 205/4. Lockie Ferguson appeared as the most successful bowling, as he took two doctors for 37 runs.
Pursuing the goal, PBKs lost two doctors in the first, and from it the pressure continued to build them. Although Nehal Wadhera fought with their half century, the PBKs were restricted to 155/9.

“It was a complicated wick. The ball was a bit. We were trying to get the pace and it worked well. When I went out, I felt that we could sew some collaborations instead of hiking in the bowls.”
Shreyas Iyer also emphasized the importance of returning to the drawing box and bouncing hard, as IPL is a long tournament. Stated:
“Obviously, as you can see that there was no dew that we predict at the beginning of the game. We cannot blame it. We must return to the drawing box and watch the videos. As for our battle, we will try to focus on creating collaborations. We also lost the return doctors that were not good.”
Shreyas Iyer dragged a rich praise in the Blear of the average order Nehal Wadhera and labeled him as a phenomenal player. Iyer signed saying that he was glad that PBKs lost the game against RR in the first half of the competition, as he would act as an awake. Said:
“He is a phenomenal player. The courage he showed when he came out in the bat was bright. He took some time in the fold and then he was able to analyze the wick and go to the bad deliveries.
“We won our two previous matches and I’m glad we lost a game in the first half of the tournament. This can be a call for wake up for us.”
Punjab Kings (PBKs) played his former Indian Premier League game against Rajasthan Royals (RR) in Guwahati and recorded a victory for five doctors.
