Maybe that’s not the last time 9-1 Fans see the captain of the beloved fire of the 118 after all.
Warning: This post includes spoilers for 9-1 Season 8, Chapter 15.
In an interview with Diversity Published after the episode on Thursday, April 17, broadcast on ABC, Showrunner Tim Minear teased that Peter Krause appears in upcoming chapters.
“I will say that Peter Krause’s last appearance is not Episode 15 this season,” quoted Minear, 61.
Krause, 59, has played the captain of Fire Bobby Nash on each of the eight seasons of 9-1-1. In the episode of Thursday-Film two-part excitement for infection-Bobby died At the end of the episode. Throughout the majority of the episode, Bobby and his chimney firefighter crew are from a chimney (Kenneth choi), Old (Aisha Hinds) and Ravi (Anirudh Pishary) are trapped at an underground biomedical facility after a chimney comes into contact with a deadly pathogen. Outside the lab, Buck (Oliver Stark), Athena (Angela Bassett) and maddie (Jennifer Love Hewitt) has tried a way to secure a lonely dose of antiviral to save a chimney life.

Disney/Christopher WillardWith the ultimate antiviral secured, Bobby pleaded with the FBI and SWAT agents located outside to help his team leave the sealed facility safely. However, he did not follow the same and revealed that his gear had a leak, revealing it to the virus.
According to Minear, the decision to kill Bobby was “totally creative” and with nothing to do with krause himself.
“(It was) a very difficult creative decision because almost no one I love on this earth is more than Peter,” Minear told the outlet. “I think he needs to be Bobby for many reasons. The first reason is that he made sense. He didn’t feel arbitrary, because if you traced his character’s tragic arc, where he started and how he came to LA looking for an installation, he makes a kind of tragic sense to his character in a way in a way in a way in a way that he wouldn’t want another character.”

Bobby’s wife, Athena, was particularly emotional on Thursday’s episode as she said goodbye from the other side of the facility door.
“Angela was shocked. She was like, ‘You’re going to kill my husband?!’” Minear remembered Diversity of Bassett’s initial response to the script. “And I’m like, ‘and it’s going to create a lot of story for you.’”
