I know I’m not alone in admitting that when it comes to fashion, I unfortunately have designer taste but a limited budget. Still, it’s not such a terrible thing – especially since Walmart sells pieces that look luxurious but are well within my price range. My favorite brand from the retailer is Free Assembly (no competition). Perhaps it’s the fact that the label’s creative director is acclaimed designer Brandon Maxwell, but every drop is packed with stylish pieces that look incredibly expensive. . . but cost less than $50!

Right now, I’m trying to revamp my winter wardrobe with items that are warm yet still presentable. Naturally, Free Assembly has me covered (literally) with its mix of high cardigans, classic trench coats and denim – all of which come in sizes XS to 4X. Even my husband will benefit from my latest shopping spree as the label’s menswear is just as fashion forward while remaining functional.
