Police said the militant killed two young children and injured 17 people gathered in the Catholic Church in Minneapolis to celebrate the first week of the parish school.

Fourteen victims are children, two of whom are in a critical condition, said the head of the Minneapolis Brian O’Hara police chief at a press conference.

The children who died were 8 and 10 years old, O’Hara said.

The shooter, who later identified the officials as Robin Westman, died of obviously self -inflicted wound, he said.

Westman left behind numerous online video, citing harsh thoughts and suicide, as well as a sketch of the interior of the church and apologizing his family, NBC News told senior law enforcement officers.

The attack took place a little by 8:30 am local time when the children attended the church.

The militant, armed with a rifle, gun and gun, and dressed in black cargo pants, was located on the street of the building and started shooting on the windows to the children sitting in the paws.

It is assumed that the shooter, which in the 20th and does not have a broad criminal history, acted alone, said O’Hara.

The chief said he did not know if he was a former staff member or a student.

“Sincere cruelty and cowardice, shooting to church, full of children, is absolutely unclear,” O’Hara said.

Minneapolis Mayor Jacob Frey said, “Don’t say just about thoughts and prayers now. These children are literally praying!”

“No words that can capture the horror and evil of this unspeakable act,” Fray said.
