Ship of Gaza activist attack drone off the coast of Malta, says NGOs

Activists who planned to sail on gas for the help of gas say that in the first hours of Friday, drones were attacked on the international waters off the Maltese coast.

The Freedom Freedilla Coalition stated that its “Conscience” ship was sent at 00:23 local time (22:23 GMT) and issued a SOS Distress signal right after the attack. The group said she planned to sail into the gas and “challenge the illegal siege and blockade of Israel.”

The Maltia government said the fire on board was “under control over the night” and that the ship is controlled by “relevant authorities”. It states that the victims were not reported.

The Maltia government said 12 crews and four activists were aboard the boat, and NGOs said there were 30 activists on board.

The NGO seemed to be accused of Israel of the incident and called for calling Israeli ambassadors to respond to “violation of international law, including the current blockade and bombing of our civilian vessel.”

Israeli military said they considered reports of the attack.

The Freedom Freedilla Coalition loaded a video showing a fire on one of its ships but did not indicate whether anyone was injured. It states that the attack seemed to target a generator who left the ship without force and risk immersed.

The ship was 17 sea miles (31.5 kilometers) to the east of Malta when it was hit.

Cyprus responded to the SOS signal, sending the vessel in a charity, but that it did not “provide critical electrical support”.

The coalition is campaigning to stop Israel Gaza blockade.

Two months ago, Israel closed all the transitions into gas – preventing all the goods, including food, fuel and medicines – and later restored the military offensive, completing a two -month ceasefire with Hamas.

The Israeli military launched a campaign to destroy Hamas in response to an unprecedented cross -border attack on October 7, 2023, which killed about 1,200 people and took 251 people hostage.

At least 52 418 people were killed in Gaza during the next war, the Ministry of Health’s Health reports.
