Shawn Porter Compare Shakur Stevenson with Floyd Mayweather Jr. After Sparring session

Shawn Porter says he saw Shakur Stevenson Spar and turned away from the experience, seeing similarities with Floyd Mayweather Jr. In how Stevenson neutralized the offense of his training partners.

Porter feels that he believes that the light champion of WBC Shakur (23-0, 11 kos) will close the offense of William Zepeda and show his “greatness” in his fight on the July 12 card at the Louis Armstrong Stadium in Queens, New York.

Porter’s comparison of Mayweather

“We’ve seen it with Floyd Mayweather. Some fighters have the opportunity to stop -you do what you do,” Shawn Porter said in Ring Magazine YouTube Channel, talking about being impressed with seeing Shakur Stevenson neutralizing the offense of Sparring’s partners.

Neutralizing Sparring partners to throw punches does not necessarily translate to Shakur to beat Zepeda or any of the high lightweight heights, such as Andy Cruz. Porter did not mention the names of Sparring members, and did not say if Shakur was running around the ring.

“I’m not saying Shakur is Floyd Mayweather. He has many similarities with Floyd. I saw that in the gym. I am a firm believer he will be able to do it in Zepeda. Just disable what Zepeda does. Zepeda’s job does not allow him to do it.

Sparring: No championship metric

Shakur dominant sparring partners shows nothing. If the fighters were world class, they would not work as assistants at the gym. Porter knows it, but he seems to be doing work with Turki Alshikh. It is common to overcome a sparring partner for top -notch fighters. Now, it would be a different story if Shakur neutralized Zepeda, Andy Cruz or Floyd Schofield in Sparring.

“Zepeda is young and hungry. The boys saw that Floyd fought and turned off these guys, they were a little older than Zepeda. Hope Shakur turned off and showing his greatness.”

We all saw the weak opposition being wrapped in the ring by Floyd Mayweather Jr. to fight at the end of his career. Therefore, goalkeeper ignores low-level fighters, Floyd set his record at the end to try to break the Rocky Marciano 49-0 record, or it is disappointed. It cannot be that in the dark, right?

At the end of his career, Mayweather collided with fighters who would probably have hit him and ruined his chances of breaking the Marciano record. Comparing Shakur with Mayweather does not make sense unless we see it from the angle of Stevenson as false, creating an artificial record to try to secure a massive day against Gervonta Davis.

Shakur’s weak

Driving Zepeda will not show “greatness” in Shakur. It will be shown that he could beat a fighter that many fans believe he was twice struck against Tevin Farmer. Stevenson will have to do much more to keep up with goalkeeper’s glass, because his resume at 135 is weak beyond words. Has fought four times lightly against this minor group:
