“It’s a good time to participate with the Bangladesh Cricket team right now, a little new was if you want. It has been talked about many times recently, the young talent with fast bowls, which is fantastic,” said Tait.
Andre Adams recently concluded his term as Bangladesh Bowling Coach. His departure was a mutual decision between him and the Bangladesh cricket board. Adams had entered the paper after Allan Donald came out after the Cricket ICC World Cup in 2023.
Shaun Tait also emphasized his eagerness to work with the main coach Phil Simmons, seeing it as a great opportunity and waiting for collaboration in the future.
“This is the international cricket, not a development team, and everyone hopes that the talent will bring results, which is a lot of my focus with the fast bowling group and most importantly, to get more victories for the team,” added Tait.
“Having the opportunity to work with Phil Simmons is equally exciting and I want to travel ahead.”
Bangladesh played a series of two -game tests with Zimbabwe. They face the Arab Emirates joined to T20 international on May 17 and 19 in Sharjah. These games are prepared in front of a more demanding route for Pakistan. They have tasks against Pakistan and Sri Lanka in the coming months.
It is worth mentioning that Shaun Tait had previously requested the same position, but withdrew his name late in the process. The point of view of Adams included the underground actions of Bangla desh in both the World Cup of 2024 T20 and the Trophy ICC Champions.
Tait brings extensive experience in the coach to his new role with Bangladesh, after working with various international parts, such as Pakistan, Western Indies (tests) and Afghanistan. He has also held key coaching features in large franchise leagues such as the Cricket BPL, BBL, PSL, LPL and English.
Tait recently trained the Kingg Kings at the BPL and was part of Karachi Kings staff at PSL 10.
