Shakur Stevenson says he returns to his old style of struggle after winning his “victory” over William Zepeda on July 12. The New Jersey Native Shakur (24-0, 11 kos) complained that he “took more punishment than usual” with his decision to combat volume Puncher Zepeda (33-1, 27 kos) individually. He doesn’t want this to happen again.
If the light champion of WBC, Stevenson, has just run around the ring, as he was in his fights against Edwin de los Santos, Jeremia Nakathilia and many others, he does not add value to the events of the Riyadh season in Turki Alralikh.
“Hell, no. I want to do actions, but I also took more punishment than usual. So I want to go back to my boxing, make sure -you don’t make me very punished. I do not plan to get it no more“, Shakur Stevenson said in Post-Lluita Press Conference After his victory over William Zepeda on July 12.
So there is from Shakur. He says he returns to his old style of struggle, which will return to his form Jerry-Esque. There will no longer be entertaining fights. It will be he who will move, using his style of struggle.
Less attractive struggles in advance
Stevenson’s revelation cannot make Turki Alralikh happy because he pays millions to entertain fans. He has already said that he will no longer “support” fighters who are not involved and who choose to turn their fights into “Tom and Jerry” shows. Turki might want to think about ending his support for Shakur and leaving him out of his future fighting cards after the announcement that he returns to his style does not interview to avoid being struck in his fights.
“Sometimes it was that I would get things. This is what I want to take away, and they can always work and improve, “Shakur said about his failure when blocking the punches that Zepeda launched.
What Shakur speaks when he says, “Sometimes would you have things?” Zepeda’s body features went through their non -stop protection. He did not block any of the traits of Zepeda’s body. They constantly landed.
Stevenson looked like a Human piñataLeave -abuse with punches in the chest, sides and bread in all rounds of the fight. Of the opponents that Zepeda has fought in the last three years, Shakur assumed the amount of punishment because he had no offense to keep Zepeda honest. The occasional blows that Shakur was landing was not instead of the rain game of punches in the body of the Mexican destroyer.
Shakur was mainly worried about blocking his heads on his head, especially after he was staggered by a Zepeda right hand in the third round.
The point is that the judges only focused on the punching for punctuation purposes and completely ignored the body that Zepeda made. If they had marked the struggle professionally, Zepeda would have won because he had more punched and had the toughest shots.
