Shakur Stevenson argues that Canelo has no answer to the genius of Terence Crawford

Shakur Stevenson believes that Terence Crawford will be the same fighter in 168 as he was in 154 and below when he challenges Canelo Alvarez for his indisputable half -weight Gold on September 13.

Stevenson does not believe that the jump of two divisions will affect Crawford at all (41-0, 31 ko), and will dominate Canelo (63-2-2, 39 kos) as he did to other fighters in the middle weight division to light.

You must ignore what Terence did in these weight classes because none of these fighters were at the elite level and they would all be overloaded if they competed with a fighter like the Canelo. The Errol Spence version that Crawford exceeded by 2023 would not last more than two or three rounds against Alvarez. It is certainly Terence’s best victory.

Crawford, 37, has been at another level than the opposition that has fought in the four divisions in which he has competed as a professional during his 17 years of his career. Boxing fans are still wondering if Bud will be the same fighter in 168 as in low weight classes. It seemed to have reached its limit when it passed to 154 last year and was scraped with a narrow decision against Israil Madrimov.

Bud’s next target: Kings Light Heavyweight

If Crawford can defeat Canelo, it means that he is able to do more happening at 175 to take Dmitry Bivol for his three lightweight heavy titles, the WBC champion, David Benavidez or Artur Beeterbiev. This would be a way for Crawford to cease his legacy. These fighters would be a great test for Crawford.
