The search for Madeleine Maccana resumed on Thursday near where 18 years ago disappeared from pro -to -Luz, Portugal.

German and Portuguese investigators should look for evidence on its disappearance by Friday, but there were still no obvious signs of any serious discoveries.

Officers view the site 21 km (8.1 sq.m) between where it was missing and where the German investigator, Christian Bruckner, remained the main suspect.

A 48-year-old guy is serving a prison term in Germany in unrelated rape, but may be released in September.

The three -year -old Madeleine McCan disappeared from the apartment in Algarve during a vacation with his family in May 2007.

Its disappearance is one of the most popular cases of missing in the world.

The case of Madeleine, originally considered by the Portuguese authorities with the help of the capital police.

However, the German police assumed the role in 2020 when they identified Bruckner as a suspect.

It is known that he spent time in the same part of Portugal between 2000 and 2017.

German police suspect him of murder. British police continues to consider the case as an investigation into the missing.

Bruckner repeatedly denied any participation, and no charges related to Madeleine were not charged against him.

The European warrant was approved by Portuguese prosecutor’s office to allow German teams to conduct the latest searches on private land.

Diggers and special equipment were brought to help Wednesday steal and throw buildings.

Searching was the last time they were postponed near Barragem, and -the Araed Reservoir in 2023, when Bruckner had photos and videos about himself in the area.

On the night of Madeleine disappeared, her parents were at dinner with friends at the restaurant a few minutes walking while their three -year -old daughter and her younger siblings slept in the apartment on the ground.

Last month, Kate and Jerry McCan celebrated its 18th anniversary, saying that “the determination is not to leave the stone is not broken.”

However, they will not comment during an “active police investigation”, Find Madeleine said.
