Sean Lowe been honest with A bachelor’s nation fans about the A harrowing attack He hosted the family dog of the reality TV star, Moose.
The first Bachelor Leader, 41, revealed in March 17 Instagram video That his dog had begun to immerse himself after the smoke alarm went away during a barbecue clutch in his house. , Moose bites were so strong, he explained, they “put holes” in his shoes.

I mean, attack me, and I feel it is exactly the kind of ripping into my arm’s flesh. And at this point, I do everything I can.
Lowe said that Moose had followed him into the backyard, where he felt he was “fighting for (his life)” against the animal, which adopted his family just a few months before. Once blood was “squirting” from his feet, his friends called his wife, Catherine Giudiciand take it to the ER.

Following another attack the next day, Lowe and his family made the decision to re -house Moose. “We’re losing our dog that strange as that sounded. It was a very, very good dog,” he said in the clip. “And we miss him.”

The result
In his Instagram video March 17, Lowe said he have received stitches in “five or six different places” on his arm in the ER as a result of the attack. Back at home, his friends were whirling Moose in the backyard and cleared what he described to be a “literal pool” of blood.
Lowe showed his injured arms in the clip, indicating that he feared Moose had “licked an artery” due to significant blood loss. “We have the video, which – the video is far too violent. I’m not going to share that,” he said. “But you hear me say, ‘This is serious. You have to get me to hospital. Call Catherine.’ And thank God my friends are there, because they can rush me to the ER.
A second attack
The next morning, Lowe’s parents picked up his children and giudici as they work out their next steps. (The couple share the children of Samuel, 8, Isaiah, 6, and Mia, 5.)
“I stay in the front yard for my parents to display with the children. They are exhibiting, and we get the children in the car so they can go with them, and the next thing I know, I hear ‘no, no, no, no.’ And it’s Catherine from inside the house, ”Lowe remembered the day after the initial event. “And I’m looking at the front door because I’m standing in the front yard, and I see Moose running out the front door.”
He added, “Going through a dog attack is quite traumatic. Having to re -live less than 12 hours later, see that dog running straight to you, a feeling I don’t think I ever want to experience again. Not to mention that my arm is useless because it is all stitched up and had a hard time moving it.”

Lowe managed to “wrestle” the dog to the ground. “I have his collar, but I know that he has torn my arm open, and I know only, so that I fight for my life here, so that I feel as if this dog is rising, he goes to kill me,” he remembered.
Noting that he took “everything (he had) to control Moose, Lowe noted,“ If anyone else, he would have killed my children or my wife, but I was able to hold it for 10 minutes until the cops came, and then the cops had a hard time getting control of it. “
Find a new home
“I know with what happened alone, obviously I can’t keep Moose in this house. I have young children, and I have to worry about my own safety, so I’m talking to our local animal management, and they connected me to a great officer who happened to have a boxer,” added Lowe in his long Instagram video. “It was very sympathetic and we were talking through the various things. I called our adoption agency where we got Moose (a) I was looking at the various no -killing shelters. I was just trying to find the best action plan of action, and this officer actually said, okay, make your calls and then call me back. I would calculate this together.”
Moose’s past
Lowe explained in his Instagram video that he it does not “blame” Moose for what happened. “I think it’s obvious, he experienced a lot of trauma before we got it and got something of a neurological wrong with it, where only a switch flipped and turned into a complete murderer, which was so strange,” he explained. “No signs really showed. It was great around my children. It was great in the house. It was just a loving, likeable boxer, as we loved boxers.”
He continued, “I called the rescue group and told them what happened.
After the fact, Lowe said he was wondering what would have happened if the smoke alarm was extinguished while Moose was around his children. “I still think like, ‘What if that smoke alarm had somehow gone off while he was – he would sleep in bed with the children every night. What would he have done?’” He questioned. “I don’t know, and I hate to play the game ‘What if’. So I’m justified, I’m grateful to happen the way he did.”
Back in action
Lowe gave fans a health update Almost a month after opening for the attack. “I wanted to call on here and tell everyone, thank you so much,” he said in an Instagram video video April 15. “I mean we’ve had thousands and thousands of messages … people wish me well and share similar stories. But whatever thank you, thank you, because I could say it’s sincere and only encouraging.”
Lowe said he was “doing great” and his scars are not “as bad as I thought they would.” He shared sweetly, “Isaiah likes to kiss this one here. The doctor told me that one is almost as good as he is going to get, he is kind of red. He won’t be red forever but I will have a cool scar there forever.”
Isaiah, for his part, thanked Lowe’s followers for “talking to Daddy about nice things.”
