After hitting a large career milestone with the release of her biography, Scheana Shay surprised by the response – or lack it – by her ex VanderPump Rules Costars.
“What surprised me is how many people did not support him publicly,” Shay, 40, told Weekly US Completely on page six virtual-te “VRT Awards” 2025 at City Winery on Wednesday, September 17.
Shay, who chose not to name names, was still proud of how My good side received.
“I couldn’t have expected what great response everyone had just had for the book. He became the best seller in the New York Times. It’s amazing,” gushed. “It’s really great to feel like so many people could identify with my story. They enjoyed reading it. For a few Scheana-who always raised her hand and wanted to read aloud in the classroom-I was like, ‘Now I’m selling best in the New York Times not only a writer but also a narrator.’ That’s so cool. ”
Have My good side Release in July, Shay suggested she was upset that there were several friends – including Lala Kent – after they had not posted anything in public shows their support.
“I think it may be like a week after he came out, I saw her post a slide (with the book). There was nothing else he posted,” Shay remembered on August a chapter of her “Scheananigans” podcast. “I had reached out to her a couple of days after all the boxes were delivered. Because yes, you expect your closest friends to post and support.”
Shay had surprised Kent, 35, not shared a mail about her Release a book sooner.
“I sent everyone a very nice public relations box. I’m sure you’ve seen others who posted it,” it continued. “And I reached out (to Lala) and I was like, ‘Hey, came your box? Because I hadn’t seen it posted yet.’ I wanted to make sure I didn’t need to reach out to the publisher to be like, ‘Hey, Lala didn’t get her box.’ “
Shay added: “She said her brother and mother were dealing with the packages and would check them. But then a week went by and the box was not posted. So I assume she had it because she posted the book.”
While some things never change, the cast of VanderPump rules is used to shake up … and touch. Vanderpump Rules was presented to Bravo viewers during a special episode of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills in January 2013. Since then Kent and Shay have said they are staying on good terms, despite Kent saying recently “Scheana is going to Scheana” when asked about their relationship. After seeing Kent’s response, Shay told page six on Wednesday, “You know, I didn’t like that. I love her but the subtle hedges I see them (that makes me go), ‘I don’t really like that.’ She does not take accountability. ”
Elsewhere in her biographyShay revealed that her husband, Brock Daviescheated on her in 2021 when she was pregnant with their daughter, summer.
“(It’s) complete relief. I’m like, ‘Oh, I can talk about it now.’ This is not a secret. “But besides blocking many words in his Instagram comments, he is doing fine. And he understands why I needed to put it in the book and we’re good. At the end of the day, that’s all that matters.”
