Manchester United supported another miserable day, as a very changed team was destroyed by Brentford.
Ruben Amorim made clear his priority for the rest of the season by doing eight changes and keeping only three members of the initial 11th who played so well Thursday night victory 3-0 in Athletic Bilbao – Patrick Dorgu, Manuel Ugarte and Alejandro Garnacho.
Bruno Fernandes, Casemiro and Harry Maguire were named on the bench before Thursday night return against the Basque club in the semifinals of the Europa League, while Amorim gave their players and young people the opportunity to impress.
Unfortunately for the Portuguese, it was an audition that failed with Brentford showing the premium that is the connected template with a ruthless screen that maintains its external possibility to claim a place in Europe.

The opening of Mason Mount was a lovely time for a player who has struggled horribly with the injuries, but everything was going down.
The Captain for the Day, Luke Shaw, set his own goal for the equalizer with a Kevin Schade bracelet and another goal for Yoane Wissa putting Brentford firmly in control.
Garnacho and Amad Diallo marked late consolations, but it was an afternoon to forget the United, who have now won only three of their last 16 games in the Premier League.
Travel support would have hoped that United could feed on the positivity obtained by half -week victory in Bilbao, but his optimism would not have lasted much when Brentford twice approached the initial four minutes.
Shaw almost achieved his own goal to try to intercept a pass in Schade before the German striker in Brentford later undone from closely, while United side struggled to achieve anything.
This changed after 14 minutes when the visitors took the lead from the first note attack. Garnacho went down to the left and his lower cross was perfect for Mount to meet for the first time with a crunchy ending on Mark Flekken.
The goal swing to Brentford, but they were given a route to the game after 27 minutes through the unfortunate Shaw.
Michael Kayode’s determined work allowed Mikkel Damsgaard to put a shot at the goal, and his effort made a strong touch to England in Shaw on his back before passing in front of Altay Bayindir on the goal.
Brentford had the lead six minutes later, as Schade was composed with his previous Miss, nodging the perfect step of Christian Norgaard, ahead of the Bayindir exhibited for his ninth goal in the season’s league.
Bayindir, who was on Andre Onana, excelled twice before half the time, while United struggled to keep Brentford at bay.
First he got well to stop a shot from Schade before keeping Norgaard’s head with his chest, although he didn’t look like he knew much.
Shaw’s miserable afternoon ended in the middle, as Patrick Dorgu did, with Leny Yoro and Diallo.
The changes had a positive effect on improving the United and almost found an equalizer when Chido Obi, at the age of 17 and 156, the youngest player who started a Premier League game for Manchester United, denied by an excellent defense of Brentford.
Harry AMASS also approached before Schade marked his second to effectively kill the contest.
Bryan Mbeumo was the architect with a bright ball on the right and Schade did not make a mistake.
The United had capitulated and it was not a surprise when Brentford added a quarter with 16 minutes.
Substitute Mathias Jensen played the impressive Kayode and his pass was perfect for Wissa to play at home.
Garnacho reduced his arrears with a brilliant strike after a good work by former Brentford’s former midfielder, Christian Eriksen and Diallo, became a 4-3 stop time in a shot with a shot that was tightened in Flekken’s legs, but possibly gave the score a flattering look at the united side.
