A ritual before the show

One of them definitely makes my belly. It’s so funny because I’ll open for the yes yes or haim, as a huge crowd, and I’m not nervous at all about performing, but sometimes I’ll really get my legislation and my fingers shook just trying to get the lipstick properly. Anything that kind of visual art is definitely more vulnerable to me. Singing and performing does not feel stressed at all, but sometimes putting my colors on can be the most nervous part of the ritual before the show.

Ideal -Barts

My ideal backbird would probably sit in a room completely cushioned in a bunch of Japanese meditation pillows and just set there drinking tea and listening to surrounding music. You feel like orange – the orange skin after it is sucked. That’s how you feel after the show. You’re a little zesty still, but for the most part, it’s just pulp.

Lucky charm

Right now, my French horn is definitely my lucky item. I’m decorated with a lot of well -being and pearls, so it’s like the princess I guide on and off stage. I named his Wilhelmina when I was in middle school and I have no idea why. It’s pretty royal.

Favorite song to play live

It changes from night to night, but I had a lot of fun playing “slugger” live when I was on a tour in Texas opening to this other band. I invited volunteers to come up and make a line dance on stage, and that was really fun. (Ac) Because of the French horn, I’m very excited about playing “nothing but a sad face on,” which is one of the B sides on the record, but it includes the French horn, so I’m excited to bring it out.

Most dear souvenirs

I’m actually in mycology, and one of my favorite things (about) travels around the world and around the country goes on various mushroom hikes. My photos of all the different mushrooms I’ve seen all over the world are definitely my favorite souvenir.

I remember searching a lot of Nuda clitocybe or NudaBleus, there are many names for them, when I was on tour and we were in Maryland. We went for a hike and we were on the bus and we made a big mushroom scrammed breakfast the next morning. They are one of the only purple mushrooms and so they are very, very identifiable. They are a kind of smell like frozen orange juice with a minute’s maid.

Her craziest journey experience

One time when I was on a tour in Ireland, I don’t know why I got my possession to choke Irn-Bru. Before the show we choked Buckfast, and then while I was on stage, for some reason I was occupied to choke Irn-Bru and literally had to leave the stage during the show to use the bathroom very quickly. I was like, “I’m going to be sick.” That was a risqué moment.

Irn-Brus (alcoholic) is not, but Buckfast is a fortified wine that monks in Ireland do. It used to be illegal in some places, but the ritual before the show was that we had choked the bucket, but then on stage I tagged the Irn-Bru, which is like an Irish soda. It’s like their version of Dew Mountain or something like that. Chugging is also performing in European. I feel that’s a countryman who came from Europe that Americans are doing now that we can leave behind.
