Callum Hudson-Odoi canceled Ismaila Sarr’s Obrador when Nottingham Forest won a 1-1 draw with Crystal Palace at Selhurst Park.
Sarr opened the score for the hosts in the 37th minute when he ran into the cross of Daniel Munoz on the nearby post, with Marc Guehi hit the post shortly after, while the Eagles approached to double their leadership.
But Forest was reduced with a brand counterattack, while Dan Ndoye sent Hudson-Odoi out of the palace defense with a wonderful pass before the attack found the network calmly.
A balanced encounter saw that both parties launched a winner, but he could not find that important winner in what was the first match of the Palace without Eberechi Eze, which Joined Arsenal on Saturday.
Its replacement to the XI, Justin Devenney failed to inspire the eagles in the same way, nor to replace Romain Esse, who will expect more regular role after Eze’s departure.
Forest also introduced new signings James Mcatee and Omani Hutchinson in the second half, but despite some animated moments, the visitors could not help the winner.
Substitute Igor Jesus thought that a winner had snatched through the tricky trees in an added time, but his left strike changed his post.
The Sunday game in Selhurst Park had an added layer of species after the Cup Cup winning palace lost its place in Europe League after breaching the UEFA Multi-CLUB ownership rules, with Nottingham Forest occupying its site.
The democitation took place after the landowner, Evangelos Marinakis, complained to UEFA for the palace violation, leaving bad blood between the two clubs and songs against the Greek and European football governing body heard throughout the game.
Eagles who represent Marinakis presented a gun to Morgan Gibbs-White after the England midfielder signed a new contract with the club during the summer.
The banner had a discourse bubble from Gibbs-White, saying “Mr. Marinakis is not involved in blackmail, repairing parties, drug trafficking or corruption.”
Forest entered the game with many speculations on the future of his manager, after an impressive press conference where Nuno tagged his relationship with the owner Marinakis as “not the same” and “is not as good as it was (last season)”, before adding “where there is smoke, there is also fire” after rumors that would come out.
Asked Sky Sports his pre -match interview with Selhurst Park about whether he was trying to get a departure from the Forest, he replied: “This is nonsense, that makes no sense.
“The state is that we are focused on the game, this is more important.”
He wondered if he wants to continue as a forest coach, said, “Of course! Of course!”
As if he would have face -to -face talks with the club’s heads, he replied: “Yes. This is what we need to do and we will.
“Not today, of course, because it is the party, but soon, of course.
The Portuguese added: “There is no speculation about anything. What we have is to communicate -how we will approach the last days of the market, how we will approach the new season, how we will prepare our boys.”
