The Indian Cricket National Team is currently going through a large shook in the Cup of Asia 2025 in progress, and everything is due to the sensational return of Shubman Gill to the T20I format after more than a year.

Kris Srikkkanth warns Sanjuu Samson from a time of do-o-Morter
This movement has already lifted many eyebrows, and now the former Indian workshop and the 1983 World Cup winner, Kris Srikkanth, is not pleased with Sanju’s Democitation.
Srikkanth believes that Samson’s place on India’s T20i team is now more fragile than ever, and he could lose the place after a couple of poor games. He suggested that this agreement be made to return to Shreyas Iyer.

Kris Srikkanth said to his YouTube channel: “I would tell Sanju Samson,” attentive, Sanju, this is probably an opportunity to do so. They will not include you if they do not score. If you don’t have a couple of games, Shreyas Iyer could come in.
Does the Sanju Samson India career have problems?
He said that Gautam Gambhir and the call of the Indian think tank will affect the Samson game, as their strengths are at the opening. He made 522 runs as an Indian workshop of his total 861 runs in the T20I format, and even the three of his hundreds have reached the top.
Therefore, Srikkanth believes that this sudden change could affect Sanju’s confidence. Former Indian selector added, “I’m not sure if I am well or wrong. But think about this: Sanju has not played number 5 in T20S. His confidence can be successful at number 5 and so I’m not too happy.”

Given this, the former Indian selector wondered if Samson will even be used as a finisher, or if he has just played without a clear role.
Srikkanth questioned Samson’s role in India’s interpretation and suggested that he had just played without a clear role, as he cannot play as a finisher.
He also explained: “They (India) are playing Sanju Samson in the middle order. They will use it as a finishing one? No, they will be Hardik Pandya and Shivam Dube. So Samson will play at 5. There will be a question.”
Can Samson survive until the T20 2026 World Cup?
Samson was preferred by Jitesh Sharma for the opening of the India 2025 Cup against the United Arab Emirates, but Srikkanth is concerned about the next ICC T20 2026 World Cup. Being that the Indian Think Tank could have to change its Kerala’s battery strategy.
He signed saying, “Sanju Samson has been included in front of Jitesh Sharma, who is OK for the Asia Cup. But what happens in the T20 World Cup?”
