Rajasthan Royals, directed by Sanju Samson (RR), faced the Shubman Gill, Gujarat Titans (GT), at the 23rd Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025 on Wednesday, April 9.
The Rajasthan Royals (RR) team lost the IPL 2025 game by 58 runs against Team Gujarat Titans (GT) at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad.

Opting Bowl first in the game, Rajasthan Royals granted 217 runs and collected 6 doctors. Jofra Archer eliminated Shubman Gill before Sai Sudharsan joined Jos Buttler to disturb them. Apart from Archer, Tushar Deshpande, and Maheesh Teekshana took two doctors each, while Sandeep Sharma got a wicket.
Pursuing the goal, RR lost two early doctors before Sanju Samson and Riyan Parag provided some stability. Shimron Hetmyyer also reached half a century, but RR launched by 159 to 19.2.
Speaking after the game, Sanju Samson criticized his bowling unit for giving an additional 15-20 runs and was blamed for loss, saying his wick changed the game. Said:
“At about 15-20 they run too much to bowling. Whenever we wanted to bring the impulse we lost the doctors, when I and Hetmyyer were beating, he was still persecuted, but my wick changed the game.”

How did RR act in the previous IPL party against GT?
Rajasthan Royals performed in his previous clash against Gujarat Titans in Jaipur, but suffered a three -wicket defeat on the final ball.
After being sent to Bat, RR published a amazing 196/3 total on the board. Tickets were together for a sensational 68* by Sanju Samson and a brilliant 76 by Riyan Parag.
The couple added 130 runs for the Third Wicket, lifting the royal ones from 42/2 after the first layoffs of Yasasvi Jaiswal (24) and Jos Buttler (8) inside the PowerPlay.
With 196 on the board, RR was in control of large parts of the second entrance. Kuldeep Sen was the prominent when he made a 3 Wicket, removing Sai Sudharsan, Matthew Wade and Abhinav Manohar in quick succession.
The other bowls were also very good and took the game to a situation where GT needed 40 of the final 15 balls. However, RR could not close the game as Avesh Khan, in charge of defending 15 in the last place, he could not cope with pressure and Rashid Khan reached the final delivery by four to deliver a defeat.
