Samsung OLED and Neo QLED TVs reduce glare, add more AI
The company also unveiled two concepts: a holographic TV and a MicroLED mirror that analyzes your face.
Hey guys, Samsung is releasing a ton of new TVs in 2025. There are new non-glare models. There is a new frame TV. They are also bringing that art store to all the other TVs. Lots of AI stuff too. We will check everything from now on. So I’ll start with my favorite innovation that Samsung has. It’s called Glare Free screen technology. It’s not completely glare-free, but what it’s designed to do is improve image quality in bright rooms. So last year we tested this on their OLED TV. This year they also use an OLED TV at the highest level, but they also say that it is a little. this year, so we will see that in the laboratory. The idea is that it takes reflections, reduces them, because they really do not distract, especially if you have bright things in the background of your room. It will not distract you on the screen. So I really like how it worked. They improved it this year. This Glare Free technology is also available in a screen size of 83 inches, so Samsung is expanding the size of its OLED TVs this year. Also new for 2025 is a new Pro Frame. So Samsung frame TVs are like an art store in the TV. You turn them off and there are actually pictures, art on the wall. It looks like a TV. This is the newest version of it. It actually has a better picture quality than any other framed TV. It uses mini LEDs arranged around the edge. They say it also uses local dimming, so all that said, I think it will have better picture quality than any framed TV before. It will also be much more expensive. And by the way, throw a wireless box in this TV to connect your devices without running all those wires to the back of the television. This is the Pro frame. So one more thing that Samsung does with its art store is that it makes it available on TVs that are not the frame. If you buy a TV at the level Q70 and above this year, you will be able to enter here and buy paintings and other things from the art store, even if it is not a framed television, and of course see and have. be art that is not a TV show or a movie. So it’s a new option available on Samsung TVs this year. Finally, Samsung is expanding its AI features to more TVs this year, so they’ve still got these AI picture enhancements going, but now they’re adding a few more AI features. I’m not really convinced that they will be better than the AI on the phone. But they are quite specific to TV. For example, one is called Click to Search, so it identifies actors or things on the screen automatically using AI. If you press a button. There is also a function for AI karaoke where you can use your phone as a microphone and it will turn off the words like regular karaoke. A few other AI features are added, none of them will really move the needle, and many of them are similar to what you find in AI in your phones. We’ll see how they do later this year. Hey guys, so that’s it for the TVs that actually went on sale this year, but behind me you see some TV. These are concepts, so these won’t be going on sale anytime soon, but they’re still pretty cool. One of them is a hollow display. So this thing is essentially like a hologram. The images pop out from the TV. I walked around and they actually disappear when you get out of the center. When you go to an extreme angle, you can kind of see them pop up again. So it’s a really cool effect in person. I don’t know how much you can see on the video here, but trust me, it’s a neat hologram. Another is a mirror. It is a micro LED mirror. They say it’s potentially something you could buy later. It is a concept for now. Imagine a mirror that you put on your vanity and you can use to scan your face and it will tell you what kind of skin care products you need and you can also use it to watch like a YouTube video while you do your . skin care at the same time. Perfect for me. I use it all the time. And the third concept here is a transparent micro LED. Now Samsung released this last year, but this year they show even more applications for it. So there’s some kind of thing where you can see through the screen like a square in the background. There is the microphone. The transparent LED screen itself is kind of a concept of how this works, and again this is a completely transparent display that is not available for sale this year and probably not soon, but it’s a really cool concept to be able to see right through that screen and put what you want behind it. So here’s a look at Samsung’s 2025 TVs, both those that are shipped this year and the concepts, a bunch of TVs, a bunch of screens from the world’s largest screen manufacturer, but that’s expected. I’m here at CES 2025. If you like what you saw, be sure to like and subscribe.
