Pakistan suffered a huge injury ahead of its opening of the Asia Cup 2025 against Oman. While the continental championship started on Tuesday (September 9), Pakistan will launch its campaign on Friday (September 12) against Oman.
One day before the game, Green’s men had a scare of powerful injuries as Captain, Salman Agha, a significant part of the Wednesday training session at the ICC Academy in Dubai.
Pakistan captain Salman Agha, injured?
It was located with a bandage on his neck after having experienced a soft spasm. According to a Pakistani media report, Salman Agha traveled with the squad, but did not participate in warming, while the rest of the players went through fitness exercises.

With Salman Agha deciding against the training session, there were concerns at Pakistan’s camp.
However, Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has diminished rumors and clarified that the captain had not suffered a serious injury. It is hoped that the All -Rounder will return to the full training shortly and will be aimed at running his team against Oman before the high -level game against India will take place on Sunday (September 14).

We are playing a good cricket: Salman Agha
Speaking at the series’s press conference earlier this week, Salman Agha was entrusted with the possibilities of his team in Asia Copa 2025. Batsman in the middle order stated that the team has been playing a good cricket and is excited about the tournament.
“I think we are playing a good cricket, we started a few months ago. Things come together, as a team we are playing for a good cricket and we look forward to this tournament and everyone is very excited,” said Salman.
No one is favorite in a game T20: Salman
He was also asked if defending India’s champions are the favorites of the tournament. In response, Salman said, “No one is favorite in a T20 game. In a space of 1 or 2, the game can change.”
Pakistan has not won the Asia Cup since 2012 and the UNAUs will be in Salman to guide the team to this year’s trophy. In the last edition, Pakistan crashed on the Super 4S stage and will be desperate to perform well in the ongoing edition.
