Offspinner Sajid Khan took a fantastic catch off his own bowling to get rid of them Kavem Hodge on Day 2 of the first Test between Pakistan and West Indies at Multan. It was an excellent diving catch by Sajid that provided his team with a big wicket.
Sajid Khan bowled a pitch outside off stump as Hodge came down the track to reach the pitch. However, he was hit in flight as the batsman tried to get the ball out and hit a straight ball to the bowler’s left.
Sajid darted long to his left and got down to catch the ball with one hand. But the ball didn’t stick to her hands cleanly and bounced off her. However, he didn’t drop the ball to the ground and somehow managed to catch it cleanly.

After taking the catch, Sajid immediately stepped up and celebrated the wicket. He got emotional after getting the big wicket and was congratulated by his teammates. It was a brilliant piece of bowling from the offspinner who was all over the West Indies order.

It was just the opening Pakistan needed when Sajid dismissed Keacy Carty of the next ball for a golden duck. It was an outstanding catch by debutant Muhammad Hurraira, who flew to his right at short leg for a brilliant catch.
Sajid didn’t stop there and took the big wicket of West Indies captain Kraigg Brathwaite in his next over. Kevem Hodge was his fourth wicket of the match and was dismissed for just 4 runs. Sajid Khan finished with 4-65 in 12 overs as he was caught for a few runs in the end.
While Sajid took a four-wicket haul, left-arm spinner Noman Ali gave him good support with a fantastic five-wicket haul. Noman finished with 5-39 from 11 overs. Noman tore apart the West Indies middle and lower order. Legspinner Open Ahmed took the remaining wicket.
