Indian actress and host of ‘Date With a Superstar’, Sahiba Balimade headlines during the inaugural episode of his show when he interviewed the Australian cricket captain Pat Cummins.

During the episode, Sahiba candidly acknowledged the huge fan following Cummins enjoys in India, especially among women. He also revealed his own admiration for the cricketer, adding a playful touch to the otherwise professional interview.
“You have a huge following in India, especially among women,” said Sahiba. “There is a huge, huge sect of women who are absolutely in love with you; me included, my best friend included. He texted me saying, “Oh, you’re meeting Pat Cummins.” I’m so jealous of you. Obviously, everyone knows you’re married, but how do you get female attention?
The Australian skipper, caught off guard but maintaining his composure, responded with a laugh: “I don’t even know where to start with this. I don’t know, just do my thing.”

Pat Cummins’ reaction to female attention
As the conversation progressed, the Laila Majnu fame actress went further, questioning whether Cummins acknowledges or chooses to ignore the love and admiration she receives from fans, especially women.
“Not really,” Cummins replied thoughtfully. “I mean, it’s fun. In India, obviously, you see the fans and the crowds and stuff . . .”
Sahiba intervened, “And they’re crazy.”
“And they’re crazy,” Cummins agreed, adding: “But, I mean, we spend most of our time as a team, in the hotel or with family. So sometimes you don’t get too much of that kind of one-on-one interaction.”

Cummins married and cricket engagements
Cummins married his longtime partner Becky Boston on August 1, 2022. The couple share a son, adding family balance to the fast-paced life of an international cricketer. Despite his global stardom and the attention he garners, Cummins’ response reflected his grounded personality and his focus on family and cricket.
