In a sensational display of wrist twist mastery, Noor Ahmed reversed the course of the SA20 2025 clash between Sunrisers Eastern Cape and the Durban Super Giants with back Zak Crawley i Aiden Markram dismissals
First, Noor edged Zak Crawley off the second ball of the 10th over with a well-flown delivery that fell deceptively in the air. Crawley, who was in good form with 38 off 29 balls and was hitting hard, lunged forward but couldn’t get close to the ball. The delivery spun viciously past its inside edge and flattened mid-stump, leaving Crawley visibly shaken as Noor celebrated a pivotal breakthrough.
With great momentum, Noor bowled another masterpiece to dismiss Markram on the very next ball. This time the delivery was completely dismissed and skidded sharply from outside off stump. Markram, attempting an ambitious ball, was beaten at all ends as the ball deflected off his pads. Although the initial appeals seemed half-hearted, the review proved decisive, revealing three reds on Ball Tracking and sealing Markram’s fate for a golden duck. The ball was shown to hit the top of the middle stump and leg, underscoring Noor’s accuracy and control. These two wickets in consecutive deliveries derailed the Eastern Cape batting and showed Noor’s ability to seize the moment under pressure.
