Again, the boxwood boxer Ryan “King Ry” is looking for a signature victory and, once again, will have the opportunity to place elite fighters alert when he faces the former super Lightweight Wba world champion, Rolando “Rolly” Romero (16-2, 13 kos) on Friday night on Friday, May 2.

One year ago, Ryan Garcia had his time, but unfortunately, his realization was erased from record books. At the highlight of the Fury Fury event, which will take place in Times Square, New York, Garcia plans to testify.
In July 2022, an unbeaten Ryan Garcia was ready for his attack on the point when he entered the ring to face the former WBA-strength Super-Taps champion, Javier Fortune. This attack was a test, but Garcia passed the test with flying colors.
With 1:36 left to go to the 4th day, Garcia landed a left on the body that forced Fortune to take a knee. Fortune was able to get up, but went down for the second time in the fifth round when Garcia landed the left hook.
Garcia would continue to stop fortune in the sixth, when he connected with a left hook in the temple. During an interview after the fight, Garcia felt confident and believed that he was willing to face the final challenge.
Nine months later, Ryan Garcia fought against his rival Gervonta “Tanc” Davis. Garcia proposed the aggression in the second round when he advanced and proceeded to land a few effective punches.
However, Ryan became too aggressive and dropped when Gervonta Davis connected with a counter left. In the seventh round, Davis detained Garcia when a hard left landed on his body.
Garcia would bounce when he scored an impressive victory of the eighth round about Oscar Duarte. After his victory over Duarte, Garcia again jumped to a great fight.
Ryan Garcia received another opportunity to get a signature victory when he faced the then World Champion of Super-Lightweight, Devin Haney. Garcia began to a surprisingly fast start when a strong left hook landed that Haney struck in the first round.
Garcia went to the score in the 7th, 10th and 11th round. He won the fight by majority decision, as he did the life performance, but his retirement would be short.
Ryan Garcia won the combat, but did not win the world title due to the fact that it reached 3.2 pounds over the weight limit. Not to win the title did not take away from Garcia’s victory, but what he pulled out of the victory was when he won the real victory.
Garcia’s victory became a non-concurs because he positively tested the ostarina forbidden substance. In addition to the results that were annulled, Garcia received a one -year suspension by the New York State Athletic Commission.
Now Ryan Garcia, 26 (24-1, 20 kos), is ready to return to the ring to fight a family enemy. Rolly Romero is a popular name, but a victory over Romero should not move the needle dramatically. A decisive victory over Romero could attract one of the big names in a future struggle with Garcia.
Ryan Garcia recently conducted an interview with Fighype, and had some strong words to say about the current World Unified Heavy Weight Champion. Garcia proceeded to call and criticize the IBF reign, the WBA champion, Jaron “Boots” Ennis.
Ryan Garcia acknowledges that Ennis is a talented boxer, but he does not believe that Ennis Boots is a pound -free fighter. When asked to face Ennis in the future, Garcia gave a direct response.
“Yes, 100 percent. Another great struggle, another mega event, this is what I like to do, so I don’t leave out of anyone.”
When Ryan Garcia defeated Devin Haney, he was on his way to take his boxing career to the next level. Now, after annulling the victory and service of a one -year suspension, Garcia has to press the reset button.
The main event of May 2 between Ryan Garcia and Rolly Romero has been updated to a Battle for the heavy weight title “Regular” of the WBA. If Garcia is able to reach Romero, he will be in a main position to get a world title match against Jaron “Boots” Ennis.
