Tim Bradley continues to insist that retiree Andre Ward, 41, will defeat Anthony Joshua if this struggle passes now. Bradley says that Jake’s party against Jake Paul is not a “real struggle”, but a clash between AJ and Ward.
Ward (32-0, 16 kos) has been retired for eight years since 2017 after his victory over Sergey Kovalev in his resale. Bradley claims that Ward still has the IQ ringing to defeat the former heavyweight champion twice Joshua (28-4, 25 kos).
Interestingly, Tim does not say that Ward should go to heavy weight and to prove -worthy of overcoming a contestant of the first ten to show that he values a struggle with him. He thinks it is okay that Ward will go directly from his retirement in a clash against Joshua.
Fans think that Ward’s purpose for wanting to fight Joshua is solely for money. If it were a legacy, he would go to the fighters above him, such as Oleksandr Usyk, Agit Kabayel and Joseph Parker.
“I think Andre Ward surpasses Anthony Joshua. I would prefer to fight Jake Paul than to fight Andre Ward? Come, Man,” Tim Bradley said to his canalArlying in favor of his former collaborator in Espn, Andre Ward, for his hope of fighting Anthony Joshua.
Tim would still believe that Ward beat Joshua if he had not worked with him in Espn in the past when they called the Top Rank’s struggle? The age of Ward, inactivity and its last two performances against Sergey Kovalev in 2016 and 2017 suggest that it would be completely overwhelmed against Joshua or any heavy weight of 15 levels.
“I have Jake Paul’s struggle. He brings a lot of eyes to the table, but he is not a real struggle for Joshua,” said Tim. “If you can’t eliminate Jake Paul, how do you think you will do it against Andre Ward?”
Bradley really is here to argue that Ward got a great fight against Joshua. He is creating a stage by believing that Joshua will not eliminate Jake Paul to support his argument for his friend, Ward, to fight AJ. It seems so obvious.
If Ward wants to fight Joshua, he must leave his retirement and fight some of the 10 best contestants to show that not only the fight for the day. These would be good choices for Ward to test:
If the “SOG” room wants this day of payment against Joshua bad enough, it must return and fight one or two of these heavy weights to prove that it belongs inside the ring with it. If not, AJ should ignore and consider it as one of the many fighters who call it for “payment day” purposes.
“Here (brains) is the most important in boxing. If a boy like Andre thinks about doing something, he has cut the fight for a trillion sometimes and knows he can win,” Bradley said.
We know how to fight Ward. It moves, throws simple shots, and then goes into hand. Inside, it is very struggling, disembarking shots while contacting its opponents. This was his formula for defeating Sergey Kovalev. It would not work against Anthony Joshua, and it would be so boring to see. Fans do not want to see a boy moving, throws single shots, and then take his opponents to start doing. It’s just a big stop.
“Everyone says Andre Ward was fallen by a kovalev fist. Did you see what happened when he got up? Returning and doing what Andre Ward did, this is historical things right there,” Bradley said.
The struggle that Tim speaks in 2016, and Ward won what many fans believe that it was a controversial 12 -round decision on Sergey Kovalev. Ignoring the questionable decision Andre was given by the judges, the struggle was still nine years ago.
Ward was 32 years old, still active with his career and struggled in 175. He is now 41 years old, he has not fought in eight years since 2017 and would move two divisions to fight a Joshua of 240 LB. It is a complete mismatch and it would be a wear for the fans who pay to see it.
At the age of Ward, it would be destroyed by the Jai Opetaia cruise champion. To heavy weight, Ward would be food for fighters such as Agit Kabayel, Moses Ituma, Richard Torrez JR and even Dillian Whyte.
