Russian strikes on Kiev kill six and suffered more than 50, Ukrainian officials say

At least six people were killed, and more than 50 people were injured after the Russian drone and missiles who struck Kiev over the night, Ukrainian officials said.

One of the dead includes a six -year -old boy, while three more deaths were confirmed on the residential block after the strike.

Timur Tkachenko, the head of the Kiev military administration, said the death toll could grow, with more than two dozen seats across the capital of the Ukrainian capital.

Russian attacks continue, despite the threat of US President Donald Trump imposing tougher sanctions in Moscow, when Russian leader Vladimir Putin does not agree to ceasefire until August 8.

Igor Klimenko, Minister of Internal Affairs of Ukraine, said: “One of the blows was hit by a residential building, the whole entrance was destroyed. Rescuers are clearing rubble.”

According to Klimenko, Svyat and Salamian districts of Svyashinsky and Salamian were severely injured, where one person was killed and 20 more were injured, Klimenko reports.

The windows of the hospital department for children in the Shevchenkivsky area were blown by a shock wave, Kiev’s mayor said Klitskaya on Telegram.

One of the higher education institutions of Kiev, school and kindergarten were also damaged during the attack.

In a report on X, Ukrainian Foreign Minister Andrei Sibikh stated that he was a “horrible morning” in Kiev, and that there are still people under the rubble.

Sibikh added that Trump was “very generous and patient” with Putin, but now it’s time to put “maximum pressure on Moscow” through sanctions.

Earlier in July, Trump established a 50-day Kremlin to reach a truce with Kiev or risking economic punishment.

Monday, during the visit to the UK, Trump cut this term “Ten or 12 days”, expressing his displeasure in Putin’s actions in Ukraine, more than three years since Moscow has launched a complete invasion of the country.

Trump did not say whether he felt that the Russian president had “lied”, but he said there was a mismatch between Putin’s rhetoric during the conversations and missiles “lobbying” Ukrainian cities.

“We had a ceasefire and perhaps peace … And suddenly you have missiles flying to Kiev and other places,” Trump said.
