Russia delays a suspect in a car bomb that killed a general

Russian security forces say they detained a Ukrainian spy accused of killing a senior Russian general while attacking a car bomb in the suburbs of Moscow on Friday.

The FSB secret service said they detained a “Ukrainian Agent on Special Services Ignatius Kuzi, which” put explosives in golf Volkswagen to kill General Yaroslav Moskalik.

General Maskalik was the deputy head of the Main Operational Directorate of the General Staff of the military. He died after a walk past the car parked near his house in the suburbs of Balashich.

FSB said Kuzin falsified the car with a home explosive device and the bomb was removed from Ukraine.

Ukraine did not comment on the bombing.

The FSB said the suspect was recruited by Ukraine in 2023 and went to Moscow in September of the same year.

Russian media also reports that the FSB has released a video showing a detained person who gave obvious recognition, as well as staff of his arrest and bomb components.

The Kremlin accused Ukraine on Friday, saying that Kiev “continues to participate in terrorist activity in our country.”

General Muscovite represented Russia in the negotiations with Ukraine in Paris in 2015, which led to unsuccessful agreements in Minsk, which were aimed at stopping fighting in the Donbass region between Ukraine and the Russian separatist forces that began in 2014.

In February 2022, Russia launched a full -scale invasion of Ukraine.
