Rumer Willis reflects on her relationship with dad Bruce Willis In the midst of his battle with Frontotemporal dementia.
“Today is difficult, I feel deep pain in my chest to talk to you and tell you everything I do and what’s happening in my life,” Rumer wrote, 36, through Instagram On Sunday, June 15, in honor of Father’s Day. “To embrace you and ask you about life and your stories and battles and successes. I wish I would ask you more questions while you could still tell me about it all.”
He continued, “But I know you wouldn’t want me to be sad today so I will try to be grateful to remind myself how lucky I am that you are my dad and you are still with me and can still catch you and hug you and kiss your cheek and rub your head I can tell you stories.”
Rumer noted that she was and watched “her father’s eyes light up” when seeing her daughter, Louetta, and sharing that she will be “grateful for every second” she has with Bruce. (Rumer welcomed her daughter with ex Derek Richard Thomas in 2023.)
