Rory McIlroy He gave his honest assessment of Alcaraz carlosA dramatic new hairstyle, which has dominated a conversation in the US 2025 Open Championship.
McIlroy, 36, Visited Alcaraz, 22, on the Courts of Practice At Usta Billie Jean King’s National Tennis Center in New York City on Monday, August 25, before Spain’s Tennis Star first round match against American player Reilly Opelka.
The 2025 Masters Champion rubbed a new -born Alcaraz and asked, “Why this?”
“Just had a hairdresser I made trouble with,” Alcaraz explained to Mcilroy. “That is, I had to start fresh.”
McIlroy, who recently shaved aloneHe said, “I like it. It’s good. He looks good.”
Hours later, McIlroy was inside Arthur Ashe stadium to watch Alcaraz defeat Opelka in straight sets, 6-4, 7-5, 6-4.
After the fight, Alcaraz provided more details on how his new divisive hair cut came to be.
“I felt my hair was very long,” he told reporters. “Before the tournament, I really wanted to have a haircut. Suddenly my brother misunderstood the machine. He cut it and the only way to fix (was) to shave.”

Unfortunately for Alcaraz, not everyone felt the same way.
When an American tennis star Frances Tiafoe He was asked for an alcaraz thrill break, he had no problem let his views be known.
“Yeah, it’s horrible,” Tiafoe, 27, Telling Denis Channel on Monday. “It’s terrible.”

“It was (ferrero) like, ‘yes, it’s faster than it was already,'” said Tiafoe. “I was like, ‘Well, that’s a problem.’”
Tiafoe was also victorious in the US Open Championship on Monday, defeating Yoshihito Nishioka in straight sets, 6-3, 7-6, 6-3. The victory established an American fight in the second round against Martin Damm Jr. On Wednesday, August 27.
Meanwhile, Alcaraz and his new thrilling cut will face Italian Matteo Bellucci in the second round on Wednesday.
