“When you start reaching this point of your career, everyone hopes to withdraw. And I don’t know why, when you can still play as well as you played (in the final), I think I just tried to put these questions in bed once and for all and say,” No, I’m still playing well enough.
“I love playing on this team. I love to run this team.” And I think the fact that he told me that, for me, it means that he must have this goal in mind of playing next (50) World Cup (2027). “”
Ricky Ponting further pointed out that after losing the CPI 2023 World Cup final, Rohit had to think about having some more cracks. He concluded by saying that with the way Rohit Sharma played, it does not seem that his time is over. Added:
“ I think probably the fact that they lost the last and he was the captain, this could be what is played on the back of his mind. You just have to call more when trying to win the T20 World Cup, the Champions Trophy and the Hate Cup. I mean that when you see him play as if he had played in the final of the Trophy of Champions, you would not say that his time is still. ”
