Harbhajan Singh has credited Rohit Sharma the Master’s Degree that turned the game against Delhi Capitals in favor of Mumbai Indians.
Having 206 runs, Delhi Capitals was in the driver’s seat thanks to Karun Nair’s fifty whirlwind. They were 119/1 in eleventh place and were looking for a comfortable victory.
With the tastes of Jasprit Bumrah, Deepak Chahar, Trent Boult and Hardik Pandya who did not hit, Mumbai Indians were clueless.
However, Mumbai Indians finally returned to the game after Karn Sharma took three doctors. He got rid of Abishek Porel to give Mumbai the advanced advance before dismissing Tristan Stubbs and Kl Rahul.

And Harbhajan Singh has credited Rohit for the impact of Karn on the game. Speaking on their YouTube channel, Mumbai’s former Indians stated that it was Rohit who convinced the team to give Karn the ball.
He stated that the main coach, Mahela Jayawardene, was against the plan, but Rohit remained firm with his plan to use spinners and eventually paid off.
“Today, Rohit Sharma has made a play that turned what seemed like a certain loss to Mumbai Indians into a victory. The master’s degree that changed the game, was played by Rohit Sharma,” said Harbhajan Singh.
“Until the 13th, it seemed that Delhi would comfortably win the game. Then Rohit did this movement. He asked Jayawardene to use spinners. Jayaedene disagreed at first. And I think, if they had passed the Jayawardene Plan, they would also have lost this game.”
Harbhajan Singh also shared his opinions on Tilak Varma’s retirement decision, on Lucknow Super Giants’s overcoming. With Tilak Batting at 25 runs of 23 balls in a 204 pursuit, Mumbai Indians excavated him who were asked to retire and sent Mitchell Santner.
When Tilak left the pitch, the five champions needed 24 runners of 7 balls. Finally they ended up losing the game by 12 runs. Remembering the decision, Harbhajan Singh said it would not have happened if Rohit had been sitting at the mouth.
“I remember, that day, Tilak was sent and Santner was introduced; if Rohit Sharma had been at the mouth, this decision would not have been made. It was also a bad call,” said Harbhajan Singh.
Harbhajan Singh: It was Rohit Sharma’s decision to go with Karn Sharma, Mahela was not looking forward to Karn.
