Rohit Sharma already had a terrible season of tests last year, and now their struggles at the IPL 2025 ongoing with the Mumbai Indians are making things difficult for Indian selectors to consider the veteran workshop for the next crucial tour of England in June.
After a bad race with the bat on the border-Gavaskar 2024-25 trophy, Rohit Sharma left the final test against Australia in Sydney. However, the Indian pattern had shown some visits of its form to the recent Trophy of Champions ICC 2025, but again lost its shape with the bat.
Critics have now been manifesting the ROHIT selection for the next five -game test series in England despite being captain, as the Indian Cricket team seeks to rebound again in the format after a disappointing season last season, where they lost the series of tests in New Zealand and Australia.

However, Rohit’s childhood coach Dinesh Lad has fired criticism and strongly supported Hitman in the midst of calls to leave the workforce for the tour of England. Lad reminded everyone of Rohit’s stellar performance on England’s last tour, where he accumulated 368 runs, including a brilliant century.
In the midst of Rohit’s reports jumping on England’s tour, Lad suggested that the experienced workshop should travel to England and lead the Indian Cricket team, as he has everything to shine and lead the team to victory in the next five -game test series.
Revsportz said Dinesh Lad said, “Rohit is a different player. He is a technically sound player with a lot of experience. As a childhood coach, I think he should go to England. He did it well on the last tour of England, marking a century there. In my opinion, I should go well, beat well and run the team well.”
In the meantime, many Cricket experts have also questioned Rohit Sharma’s ability to play long tickets and even pointed out their lenses and technical struggles. However, his childhood coach believes that the nature of the IPL is to blame. The well-known coach feels that IPL is more lucky for the batters, where to constantly connect with the ball is a challenge.
Lad further added: “In the IPL, you are going to break each ball today. You see so many players hit the ball around, but suddenly you see that they do not mark great runs in the next games. I feel that the IPL is a game of luck, especially for the batters. Do not defend yourself. If you connect, you are old and this is not possible every day.”
The coach said to Rohit Sharma’s defense: “However, it is only the start of the IPL. The Mumbai Indians played both games in a condition outside. You know, in the IPL, players do not train in doctors away, so it is a difficult aspect for everyone. I have full confidence that we will see that Rohit’s score is in the next games.”
Above all, Rohit will be in action when the Mumbai Indians face Kolkata Knight Riders at the Mumbai Wankhed Stadium in his next IPL 2025 match on Monday, March 31.
