Andy Robertson, to the left of Liverpool, acknowledged that he is not sure of what the future has with the champions of the Premier League pressing to sign Milos Kerkez de Bournemouth.
Robertson has enjoyed a spell decorated in Anfield since joining in 2017, winning the Premier League twice, while claiming two EFL cups, a Copa FA and a Title of the Champions League along with the UEFA Super Cup and the Club World Cup.
The Scotland International has made 342 appearances in the Reds at that time, but may have to accept a minor role in the 2025-26 season.
After signing Jeremie Frimpong to help filling the gap left by Trent Alexander-Arnold on the right side, it is said that Liverpool was in advanced conversations with Bournemouth to sign Hungary on the left Kerkez, who scored twice and provided five assists in an impressive season of the Premier League for Xerres in 2024-25.
In attack, Liverpool also presses to sign Germany Florian Wirtz by Bayer Leverkusen, as they seek to obtain the victory of the league title, the Reds have lost the EFL Cup final and suffered a 16 last exit in the Champions League.
Speaking to Sky Sports, Robertson agrees that the Kerkez competition will provide as a member of playing a club with such high ambitions.
“I think in any great club I think you always have to keep moving,” The club always moves forward, “he said.
“I think you have seen it and also other big clubs, such as Man City and Things, have been very active at the earliest doors.
“I know so far we have a frimpong on the door, but it seems that one or two will be close to what we can see in Sky Sports News.
Wishing Milos Kerkez a very happy 21st birthday! 🎂🎈

“But yes, look, right now we are at the top, obviously we have won the league, and it is important that the club tries to improve and try to continue to find ways to do it.
“Obviously, they have identified some positions that want to make new blood younger.
“The players we are linked with are younger players and are also exciting players.
“So when you play a great club like Liverpool, wait for challenges, wait for competition. I have always faced and also does it to everyone in their positions.
“So we look forward to nothing less. We want the club to be ambitious, they do.
“And wherever we fit, if you are happy with your role, stay and do it, and if it is not, I’m sure there will be some people too through the door.
“But this is the nature of football, it is one of the largest clubs in the world and we must keep moving.”
Robertson’s contract with Liverpool expires at the end of next season, without deciding on whether he will remain with the club beyond this campaign.
“We have argued (my future), of course we have,” added Robertson. “We have had good discussions, me and the club, but what is the future, I’m not sure
“All I know is that he flies on vacation and is necessary. I need rest after a long season and then I wait for the preseason. All this is my goal.
“I can’t look too long, I never did, so I will not start doing it now.
“I know the position in which I am, I know that I have only one year left. Many talk about it a lot, it is said a lot, but my pure goal is to focus -when I am a father in the coming weeks and enjoy this time with the children.
“Then I will try to return with the best possible way for the preseason, and then we will see what the future is when these decisions come.”
