Three times champions Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) have made important changes after a disappointing season IPL 2025. The Kolkata franchise has separated with Chandrakant Pandit, who became the second main Indian coach after Ashish Nehra won an IPL title, along with Bocarat Arun bowel coach.
Chandrakant Pandit took over as the lead coach of Kolkata Knight Riders in August 2022. He was with the team for three seasons from 2023 to 2025. KKR won his third IPL title in defeating Sunrisers Hyderabad in the final during the season IPL 2024.
However, the team had a disappointing performance the following season, ending eighth in the standings with only five wins of 14 games.

KKR Part of ways with the main coach Chandrakant Pandit after three seasons
Chandrakant Pandit was appointed lead coach of Kolkata Knight Riders by 2022, replacing Brendon McCullum after he took over the England test.
After his departure, KKR shared a message to X. The franchise recognized his role in guiding the team in its 2024 IPL title and accredited it for building a strong and disciplined unit. They expressed their gratitude for their contributions and wished them successful in their future efforts.

Bharat Arun joined KKR in 2022 after a successful mandate as Indian bowling coach
Bharat Arun joined Kolkata Knight Riders in 2022 after his successful term as a bowl of bowling in India. The combination of Arun, Pandit, Mentor Gautam Gambhir and Captain Shreyas Iyer played a key role in the KKR Championship winning campaign.
Arun is considered one of the main bowling coaches in India. He previously served as a bowling coach of the national team from 2014 to 2015 and again from 2017 until the conclusion of the World Cup of T20 2021.
Bharat Arun brings great experience, having played roles at the National Academy of Cricket and as a coach of the U-19 of India. He also worked closely with the young KKR bowls, including Harshit Rana and Vaibhav Aora.
Harshit has already debuted in India through formats, while Vaibhav appeared as the highest plaster of KKR in IPL 2025.
Bharat Arun is likely to replace Eric Simons as CSK bowling coach
Chennai Super Kings is scheduled to make changes ahead of the IPL 2026. It is likely that Bharat Arun joins the franchise as a new bowling coach, replacing the long time coach Eric Simons. Although CSK officials have not officially confirmed this movement, The Times of India has reported that Arun will take care of the paper.

CSK ended at the end of the table with only four wins of 14 games in 2025. The team fought with injury and baking performances throughout the campaign. Ruturaj Gaikwad’s injury in the middle of the season forced Mrs. Dhoni to return as captain.
Eric Simons has been part of the CSK configuration since 2018, and Sridharan Srriram was presented as a bowel assistant coach for IPL 2025. The franchise aims to reconstruct and address key problems in its support staff after a forgetful season.
