Former Indian Cricter Wasim Jaffer was not impressed by the way Ris Habh Pant beat in the match against Chennai Super Kings at the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025. He said that the drummer must improve to rotate the strike.
LuckNow Super Giants’ pattern Ris Habh Pant has been difficult at the Premier League India (IPL) 2025. After making a series of low scores, the goalkeeper founded a decent hand for his team in the match against Chennai Super Kings at Cricket Ekana Stadium in Lucknow.
Pant was among the runs, but he did not look at the best. The pattern of LuckNow’s Super Giants struck half a century, but his strike rate was something that made many interrogate him on his entrances. The left side struggled to turn the strike and put its team under massive pressure.
Pant played 21 knitting balls in his entrances, and was one of the main reasons why the Lucknow Super Giants published a total of less than 170. The SouthPaw ended up playing a 63 -ball stroke entry, but his effort was in vain, as Chennai Super Kings won the game for five doctors.
Wasim Jaffer spoke of the entrances of Ris Habh Pant, saying that the goalkeeper-Busador stuck to the fold and should look at how Kohli beat the strike. He added that the left side must improve in this aspect of the game. Speaking to Espncricinfo, he said:
“I do not know if it seems that the strike turns. Kohli is a teacher in this. You have to go on a strike as well as she can play everywhere. But Pant is sometimes stuck, and this is the problem. Then he is going to look for this great shot. I feel that he needs to improve also in the rotating strike.”
Wasim Jaffer added that Ris Hurbh Pant tries to hit -Se by the leg instead of hitting straight. He pointed out how Lucknow Super Giants’ batter seemed unidimensional before suggesting that he accessed much more. He made:
“I feel like he never tries to hit -always look at the side of the leg, towards the square leg and to the corner of the cow. He hit a six straight to the end.
“Otherwise, at the beginning of the tickets, he always sought to go to the side of the leg, or that reverse spoon he played, but this was the only thing. Many times, the teams also stack campers in this area. So I think he needs to access the ground much more.”
