The pattern of Lucknow Super Giants (LSG), Rishab Pant, withdrew a strange play during the 16th game of the Premier League Indian 2025 (IPL) against the Mumbai (MI) Indians.
Rishab Pant was seen playing a game for children to decide his team’s crucial strategy at Bharat Ratna Shri Atal Bihari Vajpayee Ekana, Lucknow, on Friday, April 4.

Rishabh Pant again fails with the bat
The 27-year-old Wicketkeeper-Batsman was acquired by LuckNow’s Super Giants for a 27-Crore Inr record at the Indian Premier League 2025 Mega auction and, so far, has not justified its price label.
He started his campaign with the new franchise with a duck and followed it with scores of 15 and 2 in the following two games.

The last time any foreign couple (Mike Hussey and Lendl Simmons) opened the battle for me at the IPL was on May 28, 2014, against CSK at Brabourne Stadium.

So they want a pitch: Aakash Chopra in LSG
Speaking before the game, Aakash Chopra spoke of the controversy of the pitch that Lucknow Super Giants involved after the Zaheer Khan mentor had said that the pitch was prepared for the LSG vs clash. PBKS favored the kings of Punjab. He made:
“There was a lot of commotion on this Ekana terrain because there was a lot of help in this pitch. If we saw the last game against Punjab, the ball moved to the left and the right, and it also stopped a little. It did not adapt to Lucknow’s plan because all its foreigner players are bathedors.
“Bathedors need a slightly good playing field. They are all Strokemakers and they did not like it. This team does not want help. They believe that their bowls are so weak that they should turn it into a bats contest and win with the ball planning because they could stay far behind. So they want a pitch,” he added.
“If they prepare this pitch and have a BAT-BAT-BAT contest, the stairs will really be inclined to Lucknow? I’m not 100% convinced because you could see a slight weakness in Mumbai bowls, as Bumrah is not there now, but the shake is strong. I don’t feel like LuckNow’s shake is much higher.”
