Ris Hurb Pant replaces Jasprit Bumrah as Indian Test Vice-Capitan

Ris Habh Pant will be appointed Vice-Capitan of the Indian Testing Team, according to a Revsportz report. TEAM India is currently in the testing phase in trial cricket after Virat Kohli, Rohit Sharma and Ravichandran Ashwin announce their retirements in the longest format.

Pant has emerged as the Front-Corredor to take over the Vice-Cape, despite his poor performances at IPL 2025.

Ris Habh Pant is also the first wick for India on the white shirt. With the vice-chief on the shoulders, the role of Pant in the test cricket will increase for the Indian team.

Pant’s testing career has been the highlight of his career, as his best was the red ball format and Wicken-You’s first Indian baptism to get a ton in Australia, England and South Africa.
