Nitish Rana has finally broken its silence to be the subject of Riyan Parag by Rajasthan Royals’ captaincy when Sanju Samson recovered from surgery at the beginning of IPL 2025.
Riyan Parag was appointed RR captain for the first three games, while Sanju Samson played as a sub-impact, as he was not in perfect condition to resume his wick maintenance tasks.
Samson hoped to get NCA permission to play as a high school at the beginning of the season, forcing the Rajasthan Royals to give the Baton leadership to Riyan, while Dhruv Juryl took care of Wicketkeeping’s duties during the first three games.

When speaking, Nitish made it clear that he had no problem with the franchise that he chose Parag for leadership in the absence of Samson.
Nitish explained that he was with the Kolkata Knight Riders for about six to seven years before he was the captain.
Rana said he had captaincy because he was familiar with the team’s environment and culture over time. He said that the same logic is applied to Parag, which has been part of the Royals squad since 2019 and knows the team inside.

Nitish Rana insisted that it was a sensitive and fair decision to trust a player who has been part of his configuration for several seasons.
However, Rana admitted that he would have in great pleasure the captaincy if he was offered, but fully supports the RR’s decision to support the parag for work.
Nitish Rana said at a pre-match press conference before the RR game RR vs AD: “ When I was made by KKR captain, I had been with the team for 6-7 years.This helped a lot because I understood the team’s culture and environment. Now, with RR, I think Riyan is better aware of the configuration of the team than me. And I think it was absolutely the right decision of the leadership. ”
Delhi’s boy signed saying, “If I was asked, of course, I would have happily accepted the captaincy. But what matters most is the one that is suitable for the team. And I think they made the right call.”

Rajasthan Royals’ struggle continues at IPL 2025
