Adam He died from Fentanyl’s overdose In January 2024. Harrison, 59, addressed the tragedy in a chapter of the interview series “In detail with Graham Bensinger”That was released through YouTube on Wednesday, March 20.
“I think about it every day,” Harrison said of his son. “In his 20s, he had drug problems. I mean, God, I put him in rehabilitation so many times and every time he would do great, and then he would fall back. I mean, you’ve heard the same story from a million people, and it got really bad, and probably not heroin for him – he ended up getting some banter.”
Adam has been survived by his parents, Harrison and ex-wife Kimhis brothers, Chorey and Jakeand his three daughters. Following the fatal overdose, Harrison – who rose to fame as the Creator and Star of the Channel History Pawn stars -It experienced regrets and what-if.
“The thing is, when you lose a child, you are repeating everything,” he said. “It’s like, ‘could I have done this? Can I have done this? Can I have done this? Can I have done this?’ And it’s like it goes through your brain constantly.
Harrison continued, “I mean, I think I’ve done everything right. You just sit in your head, ‘what if I did this? What if I did this?’ You know what I mean?
Harrison revealed that Adam once broke into his home.
“I perhaps counted if we put it in prison for two months he will clean it, but went straight back on it,” he told the interviewer Graham’s fuel. “You try to give him a hard love but, God, you never see the odd coming. You want to give them hard love and everything but I never thought that would happen.”
He added: “It’s hard. There is no instruction book with children. They are all different models.”
Harrison, owner of the gold and silver pawnbroker in Las Vegas, said he had since learned to “appreciate what you had, because… you are not always going to get it,” he shared. “I spend as much time with my children as I can. I talk to all my kids on the phone almost every day. I love my children, love my grandparents. You enjoy life. I mean, I literally know men with 10 times as much money as me, and I’m doing everything right, which is boring.”
Harrison, for his part, embraces optimism.
“It’s easy to enjoy life,” he said. “It’s actually. Just don’t be around the people who are boring and just enjoy life with your family and friends and everything.… It’s not so hard to be happy.”
