Rick Davis, 81, co -founder supertramp killed after cancer

Rick Davis, co -founder British Rock Group Supertramp, died on Saturday In his house on Long -Aillend. He was 81.

Supertramp has confirmed on the group’s website that Davis died of cancer after fighting many myelomas for years.

The singer and songwriter were known for supporting the group after Roger Hodgson pursued other efforts after the group dispute in 1983.

Davis wrote and sang “Goodbye, Stranger” and “Blood well”, except a number of hits for the group.

“His penetrating vocals and an unmistakable touch to Wurlitzer became the heart of the band,” the band continued.

“Outside the scene, Rick was known for his warmth, sustainability and devotion to his wife Sue, with whom he shared for five decades. After serious health problems, which did not allow him to continue touring as a superstar, he gladly acted with his buds in his hometown.”
